My Milestones Speech and Language Services was founded by Kiran Nahal. Kiran graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2017 with a double major in Linguistics and Psychology and a Certificate in the Linguistics of Speech Sciences. Kiran holds a graduate degree from Griffith University in Speech Pathology and is working as a Registered Speech Language Pathologist in Surrey, BC. Kiran offers services in English and Punjabi.

Some of Kiran’s training includes Level 1 PROMPT, 3-Part Treatment Plan for OPT (Oral Placement Therapy), and PECS Level 1 Training. Kiran has also attended online webinars around social communication and executive functioning skills. Kiran continues to engage in continued education courses, focusing on a variety of topics in speech, language, literacy, and social communication skills.

Kiran integrates the use of TouchChat in therapy sessions for clients that benefit from augmentative and alternative communication. Kiran is focused on child directed and play based therapy.

Currently, Kiran offers in-person and telehealth services to children of all ages.

My Milestones Speech and Language Services is located in Absolute Health and Wellness Clinic (ground floor) and conveniently located near public transit and shopping centres.

Extended Health Benefits: Please check with your employer or insurance company to determine coverage amount for Speech Language Pathology services. We do not bill for extended health coverage directly.

Other external sources of funding will be considered.

Important message about COVID-19

My Milestones is offering virtual services to families that wish to attend therapy in the comfort of their home during the pandemic.

My Milestones is located in Absolute Health and Wellness Clinic and the waiting area will be shared amongst all clients of all ages. However, we strongly encourage that our clients and families wait in their cars before and during the session when possible. We also request that only one parent/guardian attend session with their child, to reduce the number of individuals in the therapy room.

Please note that the rules are subject to change with provisional health guidelines.

Hand sanitizer will be provided to all.
Families/caregivers will be expected to wear a mask at all times upon entering the clinic.
Child may wear a mask when entering/existing the clinic but is not expected to wear a mask during the session.
The therapy room and material will be sanitized at the end of each session.
Please fill out the online COVID-19 Screening Checklist before attending each session. This checklist will be emailed to you directly.
